My name is Heather Scherer and I am the new pastor sent to South West Tulsa county to begin a new church. The most common question I recieve is “Where is your church?” so I have been saying a lot “The church is a people, not a building.”
As a people, we are gathering in homes and public places to have conversation, fun and service. We have a heart for reaching out to the community and helping people. We do not have a building but that frees us up to use our resources to do other things.
On September 16th we gathered to pack “Thank You” boxes for our first responders. We thanked and honored those in the Glenpool, Sapulpa, and Jenks area who serve in the Fire Department, Police Department or EMS. Our next outreach will be Sunday, Oct. 21st at 3 pm. We will be collecting non-perishable healthy snacks for children in the Glenpool Schools who go hungry on the weekends. Please buy snacks all month and join us to pack thier bags at 3pm at 8403 S. Pittsburg in Tulsa.
We are looking for people to partner with us and “be the church” rather than “go to church.” I hope you will consider joining us!
