New Year, New You

Often January is that month where we look at everything we don’t like about our body or our life and we set goals for the new year.  Now, goals themselves are good things.  They keep us motivated and help us feel accomplished when we succeed.  But statistics tell us that New Year’s Resolutions are typically over with in two weeks.  We then  and keep you spend the next several months beating ourselves up because we didn’t change our habits or stay on our diet.  So, this year, I propose that we get up everyday and make good choices about living a full and healthy life.  And if we don’t reach our goals for the day, we get up and start all over again the next day.

I would suggest that you start each day in prayer and scripture.  These are the things that will keep you centered and help you breathe life deeply.  It can set the tone of everything else for the rest of the day.  It can help you be successful in all areas of your life.  Instead of worrying about a resolution that you can feel guilty about, resolve to live each day to the fullest.  In this new year, be a new you one day at a time.  And if you mess up, let it go and try again the next day!  In all things, God will help you be strong.
