Random cultural things I have noticed: the sun comes up at 5am, none of the drinks have ice in them, our beds have fitted sheets and comforters but not a top sheet, I love afternoon tea time, the people here are really fun, most of the shops benefit a non-profit organization.
Random thoughts about the day: Today I ate breakfast with a couple of Methodist from North Carolina, a maintenance man and a Benedictine Monk. It was an interesting and lively breakfast. They feed us a lot here. I was up by 5:30 am and am exhausted again. Dr Pepper is keeping me alert but I seem to be sort of punch drunk. Charles Wesley might have been the more important brother for the founding of the church because of his music. My brother’s voice is in my head every time I want to take a picture. Tomorrow we take off for Oxford and seeing Christ Church. Everyone thinks it is really hot because it got over 70 degrees today. I want to close with words from Charles Wesley:
Let us then as family love, faithfully his gifts improve, carry on the earnest strife, walk in holiness of life. CW
